Stream in your browser: formats, subtitles, next video

Compatible videos (MP4, WebM, H.264 MKV) stream right in the page, on the free trial too. Which formats work, and what to do with the others.

Once a torrent is ready, videos in a browser-ready format get a Stream button, on the free trial too: they stream in the page, with seeking. We don't convert files, so a video streams exactly as it is, or not at all.

What streams in the browser

  • MP4 or M4V with H.264, VP9 or AV1 video.
  • WebM with VP9 or AV1 video.
  • MKV with H.264 video.
  • With AAC, Opus or MP3 sound (the default track), or no sound.

Music and other audio-only files don't stream in the page: download them or open them in VLC.

H.264 must be 8-bit, the usual kind. Everything else, such as HEVC (H.265), 10-bit H.264, AVI, or DTS, AC-3, E-AC-3, TrueHD or FLAC sound, streams in VLC, Infuse or Kodi from the same link: see Players.

Subtitles

Subtitle files (.srt or .vtt) that come with the video in the same torrent, with a matching name, appear in the player. Subtitles inside an MKV only show in an external player.

Several videos and resuming

In a torrent with several videos, the player moves to the previous or next one. It remembers where you stopped in each one, in this browser. Picture-in-picture works where your browser supports it.

On the free trial

Streaming works the same way, and what you watch counts toward the day's free capacity.
